E aí galeria!!!!!!! I'm not even sure where to start with this week. It was super full of ups and downs but mostly ups. We made divisions with Sister Lang and Sister Eisele this week! One is from Argentina and the other is from Tenessee. Me and Sister Eisele were able to stay in my area to keep up the work which was nice and we had a good time!
This week was full of memorable experiences. I've been a little sick the past few weeks and there are some things in this area that are a little hard right now. I was told by Sister Castro to get a priesthood blessing. At our zone meeting I asked one of my friends who is an Elder and his companion and they said of course! It had been a while since I had seen these Elders and I just told them I needed a blessing for the sick. When the Elder placed his hands on my head he waited for several seconds and then gave me the sweetest longest blessing with everything I needed to hear. He started by telling me that the Lord needs me to know that because I am here on a mission He has placed a special blessing of protection on my family. And then he blessed me with very specific blessings that directly pertained to some of my worries and fears. In the end he hardly said anything about my health haha and I thought well maybe I'm not that sick after all! Afterwards he told me that he really couldn't remember what he had said but hoped that he was able to help somehow. I looked at my comp and she was teary eyed and was like wow does the Lord know you perfectly and what specific blessings you needed or what?
Later on in the week we had just finished our divisions and we were walking home (we were on time but needed to hurry) but the route was a little dangerous so we were trying to move quickly haha. Then all of a sudden a huge city bus started coming down the hill and when it went to pass by us it stopped and the doors flew open and the driver yelled.. "Get in get in!!!! You are going to be robbed if you don't get in the bus!" I like freaked out and said okay! Me and my companion got on this empty bus (they don't run after a certain time) with just the driver and this lady at the ticket place. We found out the driver was a less active member and he felt a prompting that we were in danger and he needed to give us a lift. He dropped us off right by our house and said he would come visit the church with his family :))))))))) Isn't that awesome!
My comp and I are going to put on a missionary activity for the youth on Saturday and teach them how to make cinnamon rolls (mom I need the recipe haha). They are all beyond excited!
This week I was studying a talk that I loved so much. It talked about how each of us are in our own barges (like the story of the Jaredites). Our life is a test of faith and sometimes our Father in Heaven allows wind, rain, and storms to come into our lives but what is said in the talk is that a clear sky and calm seas aren't what allows the barge to move or progress or go the direction it needs. We need these storms to progress and the winds will lead us back to the kindom in heaven. A mission is the hardest thing I have ever done or been through. But I am learning who I am and the person the Lord needs me to be. I am learning what love, service and sacrifice is. And most importantly who my Savior is. Thank you guys for all your love and support. I love you so much :)
Here's a quote for this week. `If for a while the harder you try, the harder it gets, take heart. So it has been for the greatest people that ever lived´
