Hello everyone!! I hope you guys are doing awesome... Not too much new to report around here... Just that I got stung by a bee. Again...
My comp and I tried to make cookies for our baptism this week (they don't have cookies here) they didn't work out so well. The brown sugar here is different - like it's not the brown sugar we are used to.
We bought three watermelons this week and just the two of us alone ate them in 2 days. I love watermelon!! Also my hair is a beast out here! It's grown so much I can hardly handle it anymore!
We baptized a man from a family we have been working with this week. He is so awesome and was in loooove with coffee (who here isn't haha?) but he was able to stop in one week because of his great faith. We are excited to work extra hard for this last week of the transfer! (already??) and a little sad (okay just me) that Sister Sunaga will already be going home next week :(( She says she is coming to the US to visit me this year though so that made me sooo happy!!!!!!
This week we will baptize a lady and her son! We waited for this week to do it... because her son just turned 8 today and said that he wants his baptism to be his present for his birthday! They are the best and will be amazing in the church. I feel so lucky to have gotten to know them and be a part of their baptisms. Lots of pics are coming next week :)
I wanted to encourage each of you to read a chapter out of the Book of Mormon every night this week and see the change that it makes. I love this book and truly know that it is the word of God and has the power to change our lives, our relationships, and the way we see ourselves and those around us. Elder Holland said
"I testify that one cannot come to full faith in this latter day work and thereby find the fullest measure of peace and comfort in our last of times until he or she embraces the divinity of the Book of Mormon and the Lord Jesus Christ of whom it testifies. The Book of Mormon is a sacred expression of Gods last covenant with mankind".
I love you all!
