Happy birthday to the Best Dad in the entire world!!!!!!!!!! I love you so much and am so grateful for all your spiritual happy long emails that I read throughout the week. They are always so inspired and help me so much! You are the best! I just could not ask for a better dad.
Wow this week like flew by haha. But I hope you are all so happy and healthy!
Today is the start of my 8th transfer! I've been called by the Lord to serve as a Sister Training Leader in the mission and I am super nervous and surprised but I know the Lord will help me! I received a companion (Sister Cidade) and I love her so much!!! She is from Santa Cantarina (southern Brazil) and is an STL too and we are assigned a zone of sisters to look after and help! We will be going and sleeping at their houses and making divisions with them throughout the transfer to help with the progress in their areas. Things are about to get super crazy! But I am excited because I will also be on the mission's leadership council and will be able to go to get trainings from the Presidents which I am so grateful. We will actually still also be taking on these two areas that we are in now, Cidade Nova and Guarany. But the Lord knows what to do so I am putting full trust and confidence in him.
But yes! My companion and I were able to finish out the transfer strong with a baptism of Tiago. He is so sweet and wants to serve a mission! We were able to prepare him the last couple weeks and the whole ward was so excited and so supportive of his baptism.
Also, we were given permission by President Castro to attend a sealing of a couple and their family in our ward! They were baptized a year ago and they are so sweet. We felt so lucky to be a part of it. It was my first live sealing and I was just so happy to be there! SO so so so special.
This week I studied more in depth the story of Lehi´s dream and I loved so much what it says about the faithful followers of the rod of iron. Some were actually clinging, or giving all their might and strength to what they knew to be right. I was reminded of so many leaders and missionaries that are doing just that and how we as members need to be giving everything in these last days.
And it came to pass that I beheld others pressing forward, and they came forth and caught hold of the end of the rod of iron and they did press forward through the mist of darkness, clinging to the rod of iron, even until they did come forth and partake of the fruit of the tree.
I also love what it says about those that continually pressed forward. This verse makes it clear that it wasn't necessarily an easy thing. Each of us have our struggles. Day by day, each of us can continually `press forward` fulfill the will of the Lord through the small and simple things we are are asked to do.
But, to be short in writing, behold, he saw other multitudes pressing forward; and they came and caught hold of the end ofthe rod of iron; and they did press their way forward, continually holding fast to the rodof iron, until they came forth and fell down and partook of the fruit of the tree.
I know that as we each give everything and cling to the rod, the Lord will always always fulfill his promises to us. What an incredible blessing it is to have this knowledge at our fingertips. I love you all so much!
