HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST DAY EVERRRRRRRRRR I can't believe you are already 12 I miss you so much!!!
Hi everyone! I hope you guys all had a great week. This week was pretty crazy. We had a leadership conference and my comp and I were asked to sing the special musical number at the last minute and it was kind of a joke... but then the trainings were really great! I've also been asked to sing a solo at our Christmas conference with all the stakes here in Manaus and I'm super nervous for that! hahaha
During our leadership conference the President and his wife acted like a family and missionaries had to practice teaching them in front of everyone. It was so funny. Then they taught us the first lesson together and it was SO FUNNY we asked him all the hard questions that we get asked and it was the best.
This week our glass door in our appartment broke (hence the pic) and we got a surprise visit from President Castro so that he could analyze the damage. We are just lucky it didn't land on our heads!
Also, a dog chewed through my nice Chacos sandals and I tried to duct tape them but it didn't work in the rain. But I will buy some new ones here so don't worry!
We are teaching an entire family of red heads and seriously the kids are the cutest things in the entire world. We are hoping so much to baptize them this transfer so pray that they received an answer to the prayer they said this week.
This week we are going to make divisions with all the sisters in their areas and then give a training at our zone meeting.
This week my president really emphasized the importance of repentance as the second step in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was really touched with the things he said. We looked up several definitions of what it means to truly repent in our lives and how it is an action that we need to be making daily and not just when we make a big mistake. He talked about how us as missionaries can feel the Spirit in different degrees depending on our worthiness. I really know the Atonement of Christ was made for everyone and that we can all be worthy of receiving personal revelation in our lives.
Have a great week! Love You!
