Hi guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahh you know it's hot when the people that have lived here since the beginning of time are dying too haha! I hope you guys are all super happy and healthy and I'm like super jealous that it's fall there because that's my favorite season but it's okay :)
This week was awesome!!! Well Saturday was haha until then we walked, sweat, walked, sweat, drank water, and walked some more. It was my comps birthday on Saturday and I wanted to make the day perfect for her cuz like let's be real...birthdays on a mish are just really not the same. So I woke up extra early to make her a surprise and I blew up a thousand balloons (but they were water balloons so it was really hard to blow them up and I popped like half of them and I'm pretty sure I woke her up hahaha) but she acted super surprised! I gave her some American things that mom has sent me and she looooved them and then the young women made her a cake and she was so happy! And you know what they say when your comp is happy so are you. I've heard it's the same in marriage but I actually wouldn't know.
We are so unbelievably happy that the number of people that went to Sacrament meeting is higher than it's ever been this week and the Bishop was so happy too. Don't ever ever hesitate to make an invite or pass by someone's house because those visits will always eventually lead to something big :) Something me and my comp learned this week. Even people we visited a long time ago that said they would never come back... came back :) The wards appear to be back up and functioning great! Yay!!
But yeah I'm staying here for another transfer! Which I'm happy about cuz I love this area so much. I think that's about all I have to report this week!
I was reading a talk from Pres Uchtorf this week and I wanted to share what he says:
"My dear brothers and sisters, there will be days and nights when you feel overwhelmed, when your hearts are heavy and your heads hang down. Then, please remember, Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, is the Head of this Church. It is His gospel. He wants you to succeed. He gave His life for just this purpose. Aren’t the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and our membership in His Church great reasons to rejoice?"
This week a lady from our ward started crying after we sang her a hymn at lunch because she told us that missionaries are literally representatives of Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful for my Savior and for this opportunity I have to come to know him through serving him and the people here. He is in every aspect of our lives we just need to look. Don't forget about Him, read His words in scriptures, and talk to your Father in Heaven - he really listens to everything we say :)
Have a wonderful week! Thanks for everything!!!
