Ola Familia!!
Mom I didn't forget about your birthday! I just forgot to email it. But, Happy Birthday!! I love you so much :) It's just weird not being together and I hope it was the best day! I thought of you the whole day and I was able to read all your letters and emails! Taking pics of all the emails is actually the best - it's fun to go back and read them.
There are several small shops around the MTC that we sometimes have a few minutes to go to on P-day. They all know us missionaries and so the couple of minutes we have we go there and they give us stuff - I love it haha.
I know I keep saying it, but the fruit is unlike anything you've ever tasted. My favorite fruits are papaya and watermelon (except it's like watermelon on steroids because it seriously tastes like the candy flavor). I've had guavas, bananas, oranges and grapes - everything tastes so much better here.
Thanks for all the quotes you guys send me - they help so much!
Sister Brown and I really do get along great. I forgot to tell you that we were asked to demonstrate a lesson for the new English speakers and it was awesome! It was kind of hard to switch back to English but we did it. We make a great team!
I hope you guys had a great time at the zoo! Hearing about the Donuts for Dads was so sweet! Being in a foreign country sometimes makes me feel so isolated but little things like hearing about those events really help.
Right now I am literally dripping sweat in my room writing this... Ah Manaus what will you be like??
I can't wait to master the Portuguese language! Once that happens I can't even tell you how much I want to teach! Did you know less than 1% of Brazil is Mormon? There is just so much work to be done. I love being a missionary - more than I ever thought possible! I love the Book of Mormon and I can't wait to teach the stories and teachings to the people of Manaus.
Love,
Sister Arbuckle
