Oi everyone!!! How is everything going?? I miss and love all of you so much.
My trainer was transferred and now I am with another Sister! She flew in from Manaus today. She is from Capo Verde and is so sweet! I am really excited to start working with her. Today I am going to show her our area and all our investigators as well. We didn't have a lot of changes in our mission this transfer so I will get to be with my same zone and leaders and everything which I am so grateful for! I am so sad to say goodbye to Sister Rocha - she taught me so much! But I know that the Lord is behind all these plans.
This week was so awesome. We baptized Milena!! And afterwards her family made all of the missionaries (me and Sis Rocha and the Elders) a big dinner to thank us for all we taught them. We are still waiting for the parents marriage papers. But it was so sweet. The Dad has been looking for a job and we felt impressed to teach him about fasting and how we can gain extra strength and help from doing this. The next day we showed up and he said he had almost completed 20 hours of fasting and we were like whoaaaaa that is awesome!!! This family has so much faith and I love them so much. And then guess what... HE GOT THE FIRST JOB HE INTERVIEWED FOR. Oh my goodness sakes me and Sister Rocha were so astonished haha.
I went to the Rio Branco River this week!!!! It was me and Sister Rochas last day and so she had me try all these different foods like tapioca com carne do sol and milkshakes and all kinds of things! It was super fun.
So in my mission our President made the Atonement of Jesus Christ a separate lesson for our investigators. At first I was like okay sweet just a whole lesson on the Atonement. Guys this week I understanded why!!! Milena didn't feel prepared for her baptism and wanted to move it but we still hadn't taught her about the Atonement yet so we decided to do this. We taught her whole family and showed a really powerful video -The Lamb of God. After we all bore testimony and at the end the whole family was crying because they all felt like they needed to be baptised as soon as possible!! Ah it was awesome. I'm so grateful for this lesson and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Our Savior suffered for our sins, pains, afflictions, doubts, fears, mistakes, guilts and everything we could imagine. There is no reason in the entire world any of us need to put off using the Atonement of Jesus Christ. His help is available now and his love is uncomprehendable! I'm so grateful for Him and His gospel.
Yesterday during sacrament meeting we had so many of our investigators there and they bore their testimonies and it just made me realize how much I love these people. I never imagined how much I could but my love just grows!
I hope you are all doing great and sharing the gospel any chance you get :) Keep me updated!!
Lots of Love!
