Well I guess it was inevitable... I wouldn't be able to stay out here in Boa Vista for my entire mission haha. After 6 transfers here in Boa Vista I got the call that I'm going to be transfered! I don't know all the details yet but tomorrow I will take a flight out to an area outside of Manaus called Guarany! My comp is Brazilian and has about three months on her mission. I decided transfers are super heartbreaking but needed. Especially when you have 24 hours to say goodbye to everyone - it's just really not enough time but all the members have been so sweet and some have given me presents! I love each of them so much. Sunday was super emotional. Two sisters are practically going to be opening our area so I left them a long letter with all the people they should focus on and our recent converts. I feel like I'm leaving behind my children with our recent converts hahaha. But thank goodness we have so much we can keep in touch with these days. I don't know if all transfers will be this emotional but if they are.... I'm already not excited for the next one hahaha. I never could have imagined in my entire life that in another language, another culture, country, people, you can build lasting long friendships that will carrry into eternity! I am so so so grateful for my Heavenly Father who knows me well enough to send me out here to the Amazon to make these relationships with these people. I couldn't imagine serving anywhere else - it just wouldn't feel right. I really hope I get the chance to come back and say goodbye to everyone before I go home.
Guardian angels - that is what our new convert Georgios calls me and my companion! He is seriously the sweetest man ever and cried saying goodbye to me. In Português we have an expression that is `ate reino celestial!´ which means until the celestial kingdom! Because he was going to be baptized this week our week basically consisted of hiking up to his house everyday to teach him and get him ready. He lived about 45 minutes away from our house and another like hour every day from our lunches hahaha it was alot of walking this week but it was so worth it because he was baptized and confirmed!!! He told us when we first met him... the only thing he wants from us is two things. 1. friendship. 2. baptism hahahaha we were laughing so hard!
But that's about it for this week! Next week I will be in Guarany and will have lots to report! But stay faithful to the Gospel and don't ever forget the importance of reading the scriptures every single day and continuing to build a relationship with your Savior Jesus Christ! He lives and this Gospel is the truest, most important thing in the world. I love you so much!!
