Clarity is the focus; consistency in the effort. The theme for this transfer! (A quote from President Castro for ya :)
Thanks guys for your emails - they're awesome. Sorry, I only have such a limited amount of time at the computer. But we will get to talk soon!!! 2 more weeks until Mothers Day! Just 10 weeks to my return date which seems unreal.
This week was full of sweating, walking, teaching, inviting, and helping the sweet little newbies learn what a mission is all about. Acai (best fruit ever), tambaqui, arroz e feijao...
So pretty much the same schedule as before this past week but I gave my going home testimony -what already? But this was my last zone conference as next transfer will not have a conference with everyone, just interviews. So I gave my testimony with lots and lots of tears. I never thought this moment would come so quickly.
One of the most powerful lessons that has become so true to me out here is the famous quote, "never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved." - Thomas S. Monson. This is real. Problems? Everyone has them. Stress? Everyone is under stress and numbers/statistics will always be there. But as I am nearing the end of my mission I am realizing that all the best memories/things that I am going to take away, always come from the relationships built. Where love and charity were shown with companions, that old inactive lady no one wanted to visit but we worked it into our schedule, leaders, members, recent converts, and everyone. It's the people that always have and always will be of most importance. I'm hoping and praying that we take a little extra time with our loved ones and the people around us (#companions), and put our love into action through charity.
I know Christ lives and this is what he wants us to do. When we do our part I know he will magnify our efforts! Love you all so much!
